Yes. You can purchase multiple tickets in one transaction, but please ensure each participant’s email address and mobile number are entered correctly — this ensures everyone receives essential event updates.

Your entry covers shuttles, support, trail access, and refreshments as outlined on the Inclusions page.
We support the local community — there’s no extra fundraising required. Please read the Refunds & Transfers policy before registering.

Participants must be 18 years or older. (Walkers aged 16–17 may join only if accompanied by a responsible adult.)

Yes — every year! Numbers are limited to maintain the quality and unique experience and to support our volunteers that support us in the small towns. Early registration is strongly recommended.

There are several transport options available for participants travelling from interstate including hire car, train, and bus. Check out our Transport & Accommodation page for more information.

Absolutely! Begin at least 12 weeks prior to build endurance and test your gear.
Walk 3 times per week + one long weekend walk.
Include hill climbs or stairs twice per week.
Work up from 2 to 5 hours of continuous walking.
For the 4 weeks before event weekend undertake walking on consecutive days (ie. Saturday for 2 hours and Sunday for 4 hours)
The trail is hilly and varied — preparation ensures a confident, comfortable weekend.

Expect undulating forest trails, farmland, gravel roads, and steep climbs — especially on Day Two.

Full details are outlined in the Itinerary section, but in summary:
Day 1: Shuttle from Cooroy → Lake McDonald start | Return from Kin Kin → Cooroy (3-5 pm).
Day 3: Start Cooran → Finish Pomona | Final shuttle Pomona → Cooroy (1 pm).
Early bail-out points are available on Days 1 & 2 only. If you finish early, you may need to wait for the scheduled return bus. Rideshares are rarely available in these areas.

Yes — 1 or 2 water stations on Days 1 & 2, and refill points at campgrounds.
Carry at least 2 litres at all times; trails are remote and there are no towns en route.
Bring electrolytes and a reusable bottle or bladder. Day 3 is shorter and does not include a water station.

Sweepers travel behind the last walkers each day, clearing signage and ensuring everyone finishes safely.
If you fall behind pace, you may be asked to finish at the next bail-out point for safety reasons.
Please respect our volunteers — we cannot allow anyone to remain on the trail after dark.

Yes. Our GNTW markers identify the trail and volunteers check signage daily.
As this is a self-guided event, please carry:
A printed map and charged mobile phone (Telstra best coverage)
The Emergency Plus App for location sharing
The MapsMe App for trail navigation
Trail Guides are on route but may not be with you at all times.

We recommend:
Quality trail shoes, weather-appropriate clothing
Day pack 20–40 L with 2 L water capacity
Snacks/lunch, map, phone, first-aid kit, snake bandage, emergency blanket, rain jacket or poncho, hat & sunscreen
Walking poles (optional but helpful on hills)
Bandana or buff (provided with registration) for sun protection or warm layer for evenings
For campers: bring lightweight tent, mat, sleeping bag, cooking gear, and clearly label all luggage.

We encourage walking with at least one other person for safety.
Solo participants often meet others quickly — many friendships begin on this trail!

In summary:
Refunds are available under specific timelines.
Processing fees are non-refundable.
Transfers to another walker are possible up to 2 weeks before the event with an admin fee.

Toilets are located at the start and end of each day and at campgrounds.
Trails are remote — if you need to go while walking, please follow Leave No Trace principles: move 200 m from water sources, dig a small hole, and pack out any toilet paper.

We can cater for vegetarian and vegan diets only.
If you have food allergies or intolerances, please bring your own supplementary items.
Local community groups provide meals, so menu options are limited.

We walk in most conditions — just pack a good rain jacket!
If severe weather, fire danger, or storms threaten, we may alter or cancel stages for safety.
Any urgent updates are sent via SMS and email, so please keep your contact details current.

For serious emergencies, call 000 and use the Emergency Plus App to share your GPS location.
Notify a Trail Guide or fellow walker if you can’t make the call yourself.
For minor issues, Trail Guides carry first-aid kits and can contact support vehicles for pickup.
We also recommend taking out Personal Accident Insurance for peace of mind.

Your ticket includes:
Shuttle bus to start + return to Cooroy
Event bandana or buff, map & pre-event info
Afternoon tea (cake & tea at Pop-Up Tea House) + water stop
On-trail support from Trail Guides
Trail permits
Meals and camping are not included.
Return buses operate from approximately 3 pm — if you finish early, relax in Kin Kin or arrange your own pickup.
