The Itinerary

Discover the beauty, history and community of the Noosa hinterland over three unforgettable days. Each day brings new landscapes, local hospitality and opportunities to slow down, connect with others and breathe deeply.

Day 1 | approx. 23km

Cooroy to Kin Kin

Today’s theme: Find your rhythm.

Start

📍 Cooroy Butter Factory Arts Centre, Maple Street

🕖 Registration from 6.45am – drop your camping gear here if you’re walking all three days.

🚌 Shuttle buses take you from Cooroy to Lake Macdonald (approx. 5 mins). The last bus leaves at 9am.


Trail Highlights

  • Gentle forest paths leading to the Pop-Up Tea House and checkpoint at Simpsons Road (approx. 14km).

  • This is the bail-out point if you need to finish early — buses depart at set times.

  • Continue on to Kin Kin Oval for the full 23km experience.

Finish

  • Arrive at Kin Kin Oval mid-afternoon.

  • Set up camp if staying overnight or await return shuttle to Cooroy (from approx. 3pm).

☕ Coffee is available nearby in Cooroy cafés before departure.

Day 2 | approx. 23km

Kin Kin to Cooran

Today’s theme: Climb, connect and celebrate progress.

Start

☀️ Pack your gear for transfer and depart Kin Kin Oval around 8am.


Trail Highlights

  • Scenic ridgelines with expansive views across the hinterland.

  • Stop at James McKane Lookout (approx. 18km) – water, fruit and a moment to breathe in the panorama.

  • This is also the bail-out point for the shuttle bus to Cooran (buses depart at set times).


Finish

  • Arrive at Cooran Cutters Football Ground and set up camp, or take the return shuttle to Kin Kin or Cooroy (3–5pm).


Meals

🍽️ Dinner is available for purchase in Cooran or BYO.

Day 3 | approx. 10km

Cooran to Pamona

Today’s theme: Reflect and rejoice.

Start

☀️ Pack your gear for transfer and depart Cooran Cutters around 8.45am to 9am.


Trail Highlights

  • A gentle 10km walk through forest and farmland leading to Pomona.

  • Check in at Stan Topper Park, then stroll to Pomona Distilling Co for the finish celebrations.


Finish Celebration

🎉 Enjoy a well-earned lunch or drink with fellow walkers (at your own expense) as you reflect on the journey and the friendships made.

Luggage Collection & Shuttle

🎒 Collect luggage by 1pm at the Pomona Old Railway Station Art Gallery, 10 Station Street – also the pickup point for the final shuttle bus to Cooroy (last bus departs 1pm).
