The Great Noosa Trail Walk is only possible because of our incredible volunteers. Each year, people from across the community come together to share their time, energy and local knowledge – helping to create an unforgettable experience for hundreds of walkers.

Whether you’re supporting logistics, welcoming hikers at checkpoints, helping with refreshments, or simply offering encouragement on the trail, you are part of the heart of the event.

Join Our Volunteer Team

This event is proudly supported by a range of local community and service organisations. Where possible, we engage groups such as Lions, Rotary and other community organisations and provide donations in return for their support. Because of this structure, we have a limited number of individual volunteer positions available each year.

When individual roles are required, they are generally focused on participant support and event operations, such as:

  • Trail Guides (walking alongside participants for support and direction)

  • Logistics and equipment support

  • Participant check-in and check-out

  • Weekend administration support

  • Road Marshals

  • Campground greeters and assistance

If you would like to be considered for an individual volunteer role, please complete the Expression of Interest form. We will review submissions and contact you if a suitable role becomes available.
